Now he was crazy for sure

He was crazy for sure this time
 and the time before that


& he would continue
to be crazy for as long
as there was continuance in time

so he looked at his watch
to see if time
would stop if he
kept his eyes fixed on the digits

but just as he was
about to convince himself
of his supra natural powers
time jumped one minute forward
& triumphed over his
strong
imagination

unfiltered madness again
seized upon his mind
reversing his leap of faith
back to the crazy edge
from where
he lived
& from where
he lept

hilarious
was his name now
& even the birds
knew it
 & they made no
big
secret of it

&

soon everyone knew
it & he would even find
his name mentioned in the news paper
alongside pictures of  crazy
delinquints
& sad clowns


he would check himself
in the mirror
but find a hilarious
pair of eyes
peering back
at him

mocking
as it where
his very soul


yet with time
he grew to enjoy it
& though he harvested
many worm eaten  apples
there sure was
some whole
